ANDREAS ORTIZ
FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Andreas Ortiz, Founder & Managing Partner at REK Partners and a licensed California real estate broker with a 15+ year background spanning private equity, ground-up development, construction, finance, and asset management. I specialize in helping family offices, institutional investors, and ambitious real estate entrepreneurs deploy capital intelligently in multifamily and mixed-use markets—particularly in high cap-rate or undervalued submarkets across the U.S.
Before launching REK Partners, I served as a Senior Associate at CIM Group, overseeing $20B in development assets and spearheading capital tracking, financial modeling, and syndication oversight. I’ve also held in Los Angeles and San Diego. His work history also includes roles in cost accounting and construction finance for multi-agency public works programs involving Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LACDPW), the County of San Diego and the County of San Bernardino.​
Andreas studied Finance, Real Estate and Business Law at California State Polytechnic University - Pomona where he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. His areas of strength include process enhancement, financial modeling, project syndication, analytics, and communication.
